Cedar Shake Roof, NJ

Our team just finished this beautiful Cedar Shake Roof transformation project in Harding township, New Jersey. Medium Hand split Western Red Cedar shakes paired with Copper valleys & flashings!

The most important parts of this project started with our choice of cedar. We use a premium grade cedar for quality, duration, and beauty. Our Cedar Shakes come from Waldun Mill. Establishing a proper breather layer is the second most important step for a cedar roof. Without a proper breather, the cedar quite literally won’t have a way to breathe; trapping water and dampness underneath, creating mold and rot on your new cedar roof. Proper installation is essential. Using the same cedar material as the roof, our team hand crafted each ridge cap for the roof’s ridge.

We installed two new sections of Flat roofing on both sides of the home, as well as using Copper to flash the chimneys and valleys. Copper and Cedar are a popular duo against homeowners, not only for its classy looks, but for its durability as well.
