Snow Rail Installation for the Winter? Check!
This slate roof had a few issues, such as loose snow guards, loose slate tiles, aged fascia, and leaks. Our team repaired the issues on the slate roof, installed a new fascia and replaced multiple slates. With over 80 years of experience, we have many accumulated slates at our warehouse that we use for slate repairs. Our goal is to match the color of the rest of your roof with the newly repaired section.
The previous, old snow guards were loose and damaged. In place of the initial snow guards, we installed snow rails.
Snow rails and snow guards serve similar purposes, which is to prevent the sudden and dangerous release of snow and ice from roofs. However, snow rails are generally considered more effective than snow guards for several reasons. Distribution of weight, continuous coverage along the roofline, less risk of large snow slide which damages your gutters and overall versatility.
After installing the new fascia on the home, we followed up with new copper gutter screens, and the installation of copper leaders on the side of the house.
